Wendy to Neverland

A few days after Peter Pan left real world of Banting,
I decided to surprise him at Neverland.

Well, I did.

The plan was done like 6 months before the date
and even the surprise was not that 'surprising'
I was still happy it went well.

(You have no idea how big was the size of the zoo inside my stomach)

I woke up very early for a weekend,
to rent a car, to go to Neverland,
(oh no, no I can't fly without tinkerbell dust)
together with Eqi, Anis and Aida.

I wanted to have helium balloons so badly!!
And so I wazed to many places that could provide me with that.
But every place I went, required me to place order first,
so I went to the one in Shah Alam,
bought only like small helium balloon saying Happy Birthday,
better than none right?

I owed myself buying loads of helium balloons in the future.

And I wanted to buy him his fav cake!
White chocolate macadamia.
But ugh idk why on earth did Secret Recipe have to be closed on that day?!

So I just bought like slices of diff cakes with no candle,
sad life.

Then I went to Neverland,
and one of the lost boys helped me calling him,
and tararaaaa he could expect the surprise but
at least he wasn't suspect me to come
cause technology has allowed me to
tell him all the way from real world to Neverland
about me having classes on that particular weekend.

So yeah,
we did it!

And I prepared him a 11-minute video,
which consisted of compilation of videos
from his family and friends wishing him
Happy Birthday!

(Idk whether I should upload it on my channel or not,
which I don't think I should)

And so, after the surprise ended,
we decided to go to SCM
for lunch,
and we went to Manhattan, again. Haha

Yeay the most important thing was
I got to play GIANT BUBBLES!

And we recorded videos, hahaha
(I've deleted some tho)

&& it's a good day for me tho,
I hope it's a good day for him too.

Since it's sort of the last time
I could celebrate his birthday
before we both leave Malaysia for good,
so yeah I wanted it to be like reeeaaaally special.

Alhamdulillah for the wonderful memories.

Syahmina Day

The day I turned 20.

Well,
some people take 20 as a big thing, you know.
Because it's when you're no longer teen,
you're ty I mean, that doesn't sound nice!

20 is like a number that indicates responsibilities and commitments.
When you turn 20, you're at the end of your preparatory years,
when you're 21, you're like 'free' and your parents won't worry about you that much
(oh well it applies only on certain culture, that's definitely not my culture)

When you're 20, you'll start to deal with your university life,
and when you're 24 you'll graduate and seek for job.
When you're 26, you'll have to get married.

Have to? Well, not really.
But being a Malay, I am still tied to that stereotype
of marrying early is better.

It all starts with the number 2 in front.
Scary, isn't it?

I am scared.
So the day I turned 20,
I didn't hope for much celebration,
ofc yeah every girl wants a surprise birthday party,
big and loads of presents,
dinner or lunch treat,
but the responsibilities that come after,
oh man I can't process it and my brain just can't take it.

And so I have to deal with IB exam,
IB is a big deal to me, people!
Can't you see it?

But yeah,
I know Allah has better plan for me,
He knows best and He knows exactly
why He puts me in this journey,
so I take it as it is :)

And so,
I had to go back to college on my special day,
Peter had AS examination,
my siblings had to go back to their respective schools,
my dad had to deal with his work in Labuan
Peter had AS examination.
All. Everyone. Has. His/Her. Own. Thing.

So,
I just stared at the wall of my room,
waited for my other friends to come back from their holiday
and did nothing.

Muzfira came with cake! Aida came back with cakes!
I felt like birthday girl tho :)

Allah says, we need to wait for something great to happen!
So something great did happen,
the month after.

I was surprised when Peter Pan appeared out of no where,
he was claimed to be flying all the way from Neverland,
and due to time constraints, he had to postpone his trip to
my real world of Banting.
He also gave me loads of chocolates,
such a good treat for my next PMS
and a cute teddy bear which was believed to
accompany me (?) and I couldn't believe myself
sleeping with the bear err night!
And lunch treat at the Seoul Garden, yeah!

And so,
that's pretty much of the day(s) when (after) I turned 20!

January-February

Trying to be too positive deceives me sometimes,
on the idea of reality.

Well,
after submitting my tok essay, extended essay, math exploration
and every single internal assessments given by IB,
I thought my life could be a bit more free
and I can certainly focus on my study.

Oh no,
nope. IB won't let you do it.
This is not A Level program where
studying is all that it takes.

I have. to. deal. with. oral!

If you wonder, why do I put more dots in my previous sentence,
well that's because I learned in Malay Literature,
that dots mean you're stressing on something.
Well. I. Am.

Malay oral was, I mean I liked it.
Malay unleashes the other side of me,
being deep and getting to be a more understanding person,
more sensitive towards my surrounding.
Yeah totally, I love it.

Believe me, I do!

It's just that if I would have more time,
it will be better.

English oral was, pretty chills!
It's more like you having a chit-chat with your teacher
at starbucks, and yet there chit-chat was more intellectual in a sense.
I liked it,
but I wished I could be less rustier, my brain just didn't function that well.

When your teachers increased their teaching speed, accelerated faster that
before, that's when you know IB exam is just so near, and you need to work hard!

I am feeling the heat now.
Do you feel it too?
